Chocolate Truffles On Valentines Day

My last Valentine's day was enchanting. After a romantic dinner and an evening cruise, we took a short drive to a quaint bed and breakfast. The funny thing about the whole experience was how I fell in love during the evening. Yes, I fell in love with chocolate truffles.

My husband gave me a nice mixed box of white and black chocolate truffles for a Valentine's day gift and I could not have been more surprised. The chocolates were well received as I am a confirmed chocolate lover. I just did not know at the time how much I would enjoy the box of italian and white chocolate truffles.

The black chocolate truffles were irresistible. The delicious white truffles tasted absolutely wonderful. Even today, I almost salivate whenever I think about them. My husband bought the incredible chocolates at a local confectionary store, so I now have a quick truffle connection. Because of that experience, I quite possibly may have replaced my long time favorite chocolate covered strawberries as my number one confectionary.

Before the box of white chocolate truffles, he gave me two dozen roses in full bloom to begin the romantic evening. I received the beautiful arrangement of roses as we were leaving for dinner. The restaurant turned out to be a wonderful mexican restaurant. It was truly fine dining. The tables were dressed in white linen table cloths, a single lit candle on each table with a small flower as well as a mariachi band strolling the dining room. We completed the dinner with a glasss of wine as we sat on the patio watching the sunset. Enjoying our wine, we both looked at each and reached for the truffles.

As a crowning moment of a romantic evening, we took a boat cruise around the bay. We asked for a table on the upper deck. It was very nice as there was a soft breeze blowing for the entire cruise. It could not have been a nicer experience.

When the charming cruise around the bay was over, we scurried off to the bed-and-breakfast. Even though it had been a wonderful evening, we were both beginning to tire and we were both glad to know that it was a short trip to the quaint bed-and-breakfast. After arriving, I found the white chocolate truffles to tantalizing to refuse. With out a doubt, those were the best chocolates that have ever dawned my taste buds.

It was a truly an enchanting time and one of the best Valentine's days I have ever had. The flowers and dinner, the bed and breakfast and of course, both the black and white chocolate truffles. That was quite a gift basket of love.
